my microwave burned...

and it wasn't even in use at the time.  i had gone to the living room to check the orders i have to deliver and everything was fine.  five minutes later, my son came into my bedroom and said - where's all that smoke coming from?

i bolted to the kitchen.  the stove wasn't on.  couldn't be that.  couldn't tell the origin of the smoke, it had drifted so, but i unplugged the microwave and kept looking.  a while later, i touched the top of the micro and it was hot.  stuck my nose inside...yep.  that was it.

ya know, this might be a good time to replace the batteries in the smoke alarm.

for everybody!

The same thing happened to my microwave not too long ago! Definitely a good idea for everyone to check thier smoke alarm batteries!!
Have a good evening. I'm back to work for a few days but will be back over Thanksgiving break! Martha :-)

Glad you caught it in time. Once I went to bed and left my dryer on. The next morning it was so hot on top it felt as if it would have burst into flame any minute. I try to never leave the house with anything on. Paula

(((*Spice*))))   hope you have the microwave replaced by now, and thanks for the reminders about the smoke alarms.  Mine is hanging un-plugged from the wall 'cause it kept going off...

Loved your post yesterday, hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!*

I'm so glad you guys are all right.  That's really strange.  I wonder if it had to do with the plug-in?  Yes, replace those batteries!  Our smoke alarm is so sensitive that I can fry bacon and it goes off! I complain, but I'm really glad it's that sensitive.  Stay well.
