i'm hosting a baby shower on sunday, and one of the ladies invited asked - what kind of games are we playing?
i have to tell you, all the baby showers i have been involved in (except 1 where there were men and they had to chug something from a baby bottle) involved eating, opening gifts and going home.
do any of you have ideas for baby shower games?

That should help. Even doing one game is okay...most of the ladies want to ooh and ahh over the little gifts anyway..and food yum. Sandi
One idea is to have the guest bring a baby picture of themselves. You put all the pictures in a box and when you draw one out the guest write down who they think it is. Or you have names already printed out on a piece of paper and they match the number of the picture with the name. Something like that. Who ever guesses the most right wins a mini prize. Take the names of the future parents and see who can make the most baby names by combining letters from the couples' names. An old fashioned one is dropping clothes pins into a milk bottle and see who can get the most in. they would hold their hand at waist high and drop. Not the kind of milk bottles we get now days. I think this one came about because diapers were hung on the clothes line with clothes pins. lol Those days are gone forever. Have fun! Paula
i have only been to 3 baby showers in my life..we didn't have them in Uk..anyway the one game they all seem to play is guessing the size of the pregnant womens belly..you cut off a piece of string or toilet paper or wool..anything really ..the length that you think is the circumference of her belly..closet to correct wins..another one was fishing safety pins out of a bowl of rice while blindfolded..harder than it sounds...

A simple one is handing out clothes pins to everyone...and they clip it on themselves(everytime you see someone cross their legs, you can take their clothes pin, the one with the most at the end of the shower gets the prize)
another is...take disposable diapers....Number them
(in a microwave melt various candybars...snickers, milkyway, almond joy....etc...for a few seconds...not completely melted, but almost and place one candybar per diaper...and pass them around and people guess which candybar is in which diaper)... looks like poopy diapers and watching people look in them and even sometimes smell the diapers is hilarious!!! Everyone seems to enjoy it.
