Ginger Tea

I'm having a cup of Twinnings lemon ginger tea tonight - leaves a nice little tingle on the tongue.  The last two weeks were so busy, it's nice to have a chance to unwind a little..

Mom came home from the hospital on Friday.  Her doctor gave her the choice of nursing home or hospice care, and she opted for hospice.  She seems at peace with it...the rest of us are still grappling with the idea that her time is so limited.  We have put that aside, though, to make sure she and dad have the quality of life they deserve.

I probably won't be around as much to write or comment, but I'll check in on y'all when I can.

I think it is a blessing she is allowed to be in her own home. Hospice is amazing. Some of the nurses involved in that are absolute angels. Quality of life really does beat quantity; it doesn't  feel that way at times, because you so want your loved one near, but you are doing all you can.
I wanted to thank you for my "rose" & for being so kind. My weepy entry I'd thought would have people running, but everyone was very compassionate. ~Mary

I'm glad everyone is handling this well, but I am so sorry about your Mom.  I'm glad she can be taken care of at home, though.  You take care!

May it go as well as it can, yes, focus on the NOW, with them, and may the quality of life for all of you be good.  Sorry to hear that a short time is anticipated.  Lemon ginger tea sounds good.

I can understand how your time will be limited here. Glad your Mom can be home though. Hospice seems to be such a good thing. Don't for get to take care of you too. Paula
